Test Match Results by Team, 2001–2026
Wins, losses, draws and win percentage for every Test side by year since 2001, with home, away and neutral splits, built from Cricsheet match records.
This table records the result of every men’s Test in Cricsheet’s archive, 894 matches from December 2001 to August 2026, from each side’s point of view: matches, wins, losses, draws and a win percentage per calendar year, with the home, away and neutral splits alongside. 725 of those Tests (81.1%) produced a winner; the rest were drawn.

Every Established Side Wins More Often at Home
Home win share is home matches won divided by home matches played; away win share is the same for matches in the opponent's country. Pooled across all sides, teams won 51.6% of home Tests and 29.6% of away Tests, a gap of 22.0 points. The 36 Tests at neutral venues, mostly Pakistan's seasons in the United Arab Emirates, are counted separately.
Of the 10 sides with at least ten home and ten away Tests, all 10 win a larger share at home. The widest gap is India (63.6% at home, 35.6% away, 28.0 points) and the narrowest is Zimbabwe (12.9% at home, 10.5% away, 2.4 points). Australia has both the best away record, 42.6%, and the best overall win share, 56.5% of 230 Tests.
ICC World XI and Ireland fall below the threshold and are left out of the comparison, though their rows are in the table.

How the Numbers Were Made
Source and counting. Each match's info file in Cricsheet's men's Test CSV archive (894 matches, 2001-12-19 to 2026-08-30, retrieved 2026-09-13) gives the two sides, the venue and the outcome. A drawn match is a draw for both sides; otherwise the listed winner wins and the other side loses. There are no ties in this window. Home, away or neutral comes from the venue's real-world country: Wales counts as home for England, any Caribbean host counts as home for West Indies, and Pakistan's Tests in the United Arab Emirates are neutral.
The finding. Home and away win shares sum each side's home wins over home matches and away wins over away matches across all years. The comparison covers the 10 sides with at least ten home and ten away Tests; ICC World XI and Ireland are below that line.
Checks. Matches sum to twice the number of Tests, wins equal losses, and each Test is counted once per side. The 2005 Super Series match between Australia and the ICC World XI is included because Cricsheet lists it as a Test.
Afghanistan is missing. Cricsheet withholds all 13 Afghanistan Test matches from its public download, so Afghanistan never appears in this table and any Test involving Afghanistan is absent from every total on this page. Coverage also starts on 2001-12-19, so 2001 is a partial year, and 2026 stops at the retrieval date.
Licence. Cricsheet publishes no formal licence text; its downloads, about and format pages were checked on 2026-09-13 and none exists. The project describes itself as freely available structured cricket data and asks to be credited. The table is republished on that basis, with Cricsheet named as the source, and anyone reusing it under terms that need a clear licence grant should check with Cricsheet first.
